  • Self-Guided Safe Zone Training course about gender and sexuality: Self-Guided Foundational Safe Zone Training  (IMPORTANT: you can choose the free scholarship option, or help support the work by choosing to pay one of the two levels)
  • The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz. This is a great one for people who tend to take things personally and are people pleasers. Also, if someone tends to get too wrapped up in other people: audiobook, cds, book available on Amazon, Audible, iTunes
  • The Mastery of Love, Don Miguel Ruiz. This is one of the most helpful books on learning not to be dependent upon people or things outside of ourselves for approval, satisfaction, and love. If someone struggles with unhealthy attachment, this is a great book. It can help you learn what love is and is not, and free you up to really love others from a healthy place. **Disclaimer: he says it’s not a religious book or approach, but he does cross over into some religious ideas. If it bothers you, don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. Just fit it into your own religious framework: audiobook, cds, book available on Amazon, Audible, iTunes
  • Myers-Briggs Personality test
  • Boundaries- Dr. Henry Cloud, Dr. John Townsend: available on Amazon, Audible, iTunes. THE book on how to identify boundary problems and how to have health boundaries. If you are overly dependent upon others, a people pleaser, or overfunctioning, this is very helpful.
  • Do What You Are- Paul D. Tieger:  A great book to take the Myers Briggs personality you learned from the above site and figure out the best work or vocation for your type.
  • The Road Back to You- Ian Morgan Cron, Suzanne Stabile : A book on the Enneagram personality types that will help you discover who you are, your core issue, your healthy and unhealthy patterns.
  • Book Therapy-Bijal Shah: A list of books from different genres this bibliotherapist prescribes for different types of issues.
  • Everything Belongs- Richard Rohr:  A spiritual book for those who struggle with anxiety, trust, fear, and the big questions in life. Rohr draws from a number of faith practices to address our fears and lack of trust.
  • Anger management help guide

  • How to create a Genogram
Use this video as a tutorial for people to view during groups to understand how to fill out the genogram. You can pause, rewind, or fast forward as often as is necessary. This was created with students in mind. For adults, simply have them add on a partner/spouse/ex, or children, if they have those relationships.
