Libera Launches SOAR: A Career and Resiliency Accelerator for Young Women

MORGANTOWN, WEST VIRGINIA -- September 18, 2025 -- Libera is proud to announce the upcoming launch of SOAR (Supporting Opportunity, Accelerating Resilience), a new 12-month career and resiliency accelerator program designed to empower young women in West Virginia to achieve independence, stability, and long-term success.

SOAR provides participants, ages 18–24, with transitional housing, wraparound support, and career training in high-demand fields.

The program includes:

‍

- Comprehensive wraparound services: housing, mental health services, connection to resources, and life-skills coaching

‍

- Career development: workplace training, financial literacy, and job readiness skills

- Personalized mentoring: 1:1 mentorship from trained community mentors

- Stipend support: $900/month for participants actively engaged in program requirements and milestones

- Success pathways: career planning toward jobs earning at least $17/hour or enrollment in training/education programs with similar earnings potential

“SOAR is designed to provide both structure and support,” said Jess Lowe, Program Director at Libera. “Our goal is to help young women strengthen their resilience, expand their opportunities, and take confident steps toward independence -- empowering them to soar higher in career and life.”

Applications for the Fall 2025 cohort are being accepted with limited spots available. Eligible participants must meet financial eligibility requirements and live in or be willing to relocate to Morgantown.
