Libera to Celebrate a Decade of Driving Change with Ribbon Cutting

MORGANTOWN, WEST VIRGINIA -- October 6, 2025 – Libera, Inc., is proud to celebrate a decade of driving change with a 10-Year Celebration and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at their new community center and transitional living facility on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Community members, partners, and supporters are invited to join Libera in marking this milestone achievement and the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Founded in 2015, Libera has spent the past decade building programs that provide mental health support, mentoring, and wraparound services for youth and young women in West Virginia. This new building represents a significant step forward in their journey, which started with a little blue bus that drove across the state connecting women and girls to resources and support. The opening of Libera's center and housing facility will deepen their impact and create long-term pathways for growth and independence for girls and young women.

Funding for this project was secured through a 2024 FHLBank of Pittsburgh Affordable Housing Program grant award and renovations to the building were completed by March-Westin Company.

“We are thrilled to celebrate 10 years of empowering girls and increasing hope in our community,” said Kelsey Riggi, Executive Director of Libera. “This new space will allow us take our impact even further by providing them with affordable housing and a safe place to live, work, and belong. We are so grateful to the partners and supporters who have made this momentous occasion possible.”

The event is open to the public and will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the facility, and opportunities to learn more about Libera's programs and services. Attendees are asked to RSVP here.
